JourneyDance

  • Dance Dynamics 1001 Post Road Plover (map)

You are warmly invited to experience embodied movement & conscious dance through an experiential session of JourneyDance ™. This is an invitation to explore your body as an expressive vehicle through a variety of music & simple healing practices/rituals in a positive, supportive environment.

In a JourneyDance Flow, we move to a wide range of alive, recorded music (world, sacred, instrumental, pop), interwoven with verbal facilitation to support and enhance your experiences of creative expression.  These gentle-to-moderate embodied movements are always within each person’s physical capacities and will be followed by a quiet integration/relaxation completion

This is NOT performance-based dance. No previous dance experience is necessary to enjoy, participate and benefit from fully. Without planned steps to follow or learn, the rhythm and chosen music allow space to find your own expression, emotion, passion, and “choreography.”

Through individual expressive movement, ritual, guided imagery, voice, and breath, we will create space for:

  • Releasing tensions

  • Opening to and deepening connections with our bodies, feelings, senses

  • Allowing for evocative, alive and possibly healing experiences

What to Bring & Wear:

Please wear loose, comfortable clothes with layers. Plan to dance barefoot or in dancing/soft shoes. Bring a journal for reflective writing and 1-2 sacred objects that have personal meaning to add to our communal altar.
